On 11 March 2019 prof. Michał Kleiber became laureate of the Person of the Year 2018 title. The award was given to Professor by the Federation of Regional Unions of Municipalities and Counties of the Republic of Poland - the largest nationwide local government organization forming regional unions of 1000 local self-government units.

On 2nd March 2019 Prof. Tadeusz Burczyński, Director of IPPT PAN, was nominated a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. The ceremony took place during the Festive Session in Salzburg.

”No country can be modern if it is not up to date with technological advancements” emphasized president Andrzej Duda during his address at the 25th edition of the “Gold Engineer” (“Złoty Inżynier”) poll. Prof. Michał Kleiber of IPPT PAN saw himself among the winners. The celebration took place on 27th February 2019 at the Presidential Palace.

On 22 February 2019 IPPT PAN held the ALKALINE REACTIVITY OF DOMESTIC AGGREGATES workshop. It was organized as part of the Development of Road Innovations programme, supported by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad - GDDKiA).

IPPT PAN will participate in a new European Union Horizon 2020 project (funding scheme: Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions – COFUND).
