Employees of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research Polish Academy of Sciences – both collectively and individually – put efforts in acting for the benefit of the society in order to contribute to the spiritual and material development of our civilization.
We mainly focus on three areas of social activity:
I. Our voice in the public discourse
Ongoing discussions about the development and well-being of the society take place on many social levels. IPPT personnel contribute - socially and professionally – to the discussions on economic and financial development, management, public health etc. We put efforts in supporting the public by learning and teaching, and by offering personal scientific observations based on our own experience and expertise.
II. Social responsibility
We undertake various initiatives, often at a local level, which are aimed at supporting the intellectual, cultural and financial development of Polish towns. (since 2019):
- Muzeum Ziemi Minskiej exhibition (18 May, 18.00-24.00 at the Muzeum Ziemi Minskiej, 16 Okrzei St, Mińsk Mazowiecki).
III. Exhibitions at the IPPT PAN Great Hall
IPPT PAN started holding exhibitions when it moved to its new location in 2009. The exhibits are mainly displayed in the building’s Great Hall, which was built entirely from transparent glass and which holds a suspended bagatelle – a set of conference halls “threaded” onto glass gangways. The exhibitions are temporary, and depending on their subject and type, come from the Institute’s own collections or are borrowed from cooperating institutions with their authors’ consents.
