Dr. Eng. Dorota Kołbuk, Dr. Eng. Paweł Nakielski and Dr. Eng. Agnieszka Pręgowska became winners of the "TOP 500 Innovators-Science, Management, Commercialization" competition organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This program focus on innovation, execution and leadership, entrepreneurship, intellectual property and technology transfer.

IPPT PAN offered educational program on SHAPE MEMORY EFFECTS IN ADVANCED MATERIALS. A lot of visitors took part in it. Properties and applications of shape memory polymers were presented by Maria Staszczak, Michał Majewski (PhD students at IPPT) and Ewa Moskała (student at WUT). Properties and applications of shape memory alloys were presented by Dominik Kukla, Jan Kraskowski and Artur Myczka. General coordination - Elżbieta Pieczyska.

The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the winners of the 23rd edition of the START competition and awarded stipends for young, talented researchers, at the outset of their career, who have already achieved some success in their field.

Committee of Mechanics of PAN awarded the prof. Michał Życzkowski Scientific Prizes for the year 2014. Dr Bartłomiej Dyniewicz received the prize of the first degree and Dr Paweł Nakielski was awarded the third degree prize.

During the recent XXXVI Convention in Sarbinowo 21-22 March 2015, prof. Zbigniew Kowalewski has been elected Chairman of Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (PTMTS) for the new XXXVII cadence. Moreover prof. Zbigniew Kowalewski and Assoc. Prof. Elżbieta Pieczyska have been awarded the Gold Medals for Merit to PTMTS.
