Assoc. Prof. Elżbieta Pieczyska from the Department of Experimental Mechanics has been awarded the EURASEM Committee Award (The European Society for Experimental Mechanics). The award is a recognition and distinction an individual who has demonstrated both technical excellence in experimental mechanics and good service to EuraSEM
The Society is a European non-governmental non-profit scientific and engineering organization whose general purpose is to promote international collaboration in the field of Experimental Mechanics, e.g. organization of International Conference on Experimental Mechanics (ICEM). The Society publishes the scientific journal STRAIN.
Assoc Prof. E. Pieczyska has been awarded during the ICEM18, the eighteenth International Conference of Experimental Mechanics (July 1-5, 2018, in Brussels- Belgium). It is the aim of ICEM to provide a forum for discussion, exchange of new ideas, for the establishment of new friendships and collaborations and for the dissemination of recent acquired knowledge in an area of utmost scientific and technological importance.
