It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in: “Polish-Israeli Conference on Electrospinning and Tissue Engineering” (PICETE), which will be held on October 04-05, 2018 at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN), Warsaw, Poland.

Committee on Mechanics of the Polish Academy of Sciences awarded the prof. Michał Życzkowski Scientific Prizes for the year 2017. Dr. Dariusz Jarząbek from the Department of Mechanics of Materials received the prize of the second degree.

In March 2018, National Science Centre has approved and subsidized two projects from IPPT PAN.

On May 7, 2018, the Polish Patent Office granted a patent for the IPPT PAN, Nałęcz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences (IBBE PAS) and Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). Title of the invention: "A method for the preparation of a wide-porous, polyester cellular scaffold".

IPPT PAN started 3 years research project within V4-Korea Joint Research Program, involving universities and research institutes from four Visegrad countries and Korea. The research topic is the radiation-induced damage to cement-based materials.

On May 2018, National Science Centre (NCN) has approved and subsidized project at IPPT PAN: Investigation of the influence of strain rate on elastic-plastic properties of Gum Metal under quasi-static and dynamic loadings using field optical methods.

A team of researchers led by Tomasza Lipniacki from the Department of Biosystems and Soft Matter have analyzed how intra- and intercellular signaling pathways process information about the presence of a pathogen.

On April 17th, 2018, IPPT PAN co-organised the CePT exhibition. The exhibition accompanied the CePT conference on Innovative Biomedicine Platform. It took place in Warsaw, at the Warsaw Medical University Didactic Center.

Dr. Jakub Lengiewicz from the Department of Mechanics of Materials (Group of Materials Modeling) has been awarded a two year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA IF). The fellowship will support his research stay at the University of Luxembourg with the group of Prof. Stephane P.A. Bordas.
