On November 15, 2019, Rector of Warsaw Univeristy of Technology awarded the M. Wolfke Prize for outstanding scientific publications to prof. Tomasz Lewinski, dr. Tomasz Sokół and dr. Cezary Graczykowski (the latter of IPPT PAN) for the monograph "Michell Structures" published at Springer, 2019.
On September 23-27, 2019, Science Festival took place at IPPT PAN. In the annual event we presented the series of lectures and laboratory presentations for audience of all ages.
The long lasting cooperation with Professor Alexander Yarin has been recently extended with the NAWA program supporting international scientific partnership. Alexander L. Yarin serves as a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Project application of Rami Faraj has received funding from the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) within jubilee edition of the LIDER program. The aim of the project is to develop the prototype of adaptive rescue cushion.
The 12th International Symposium on Brittle Matrix Composites (BMC-12) was held on September 23-24, 2019 at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN).

On September 25-26, 2019 at the IPPT PAN the 4th international meeting in the frame of the research project within V4-Korea Joint Research Program RADCON took place.
