On 29 March 2017, IPPT PAN participated in the 19th International Trade Fair of Analytical, Measurement and Control Technology (EuroLab17). This year's edition was held in the Trade Fair and Congress Centre, Marsa 56C, Warsaw.

On January 11, 2017, the professor’s nomination was granted to Mr Paweł Łukasz Sajkiewicz by Mr Andrzej Duda, the President of Poland. The nominee is an associate professor, the head of the Laboratory of Polymers and Biomaterials at the IPPT PAN.

During the recent Convention and XII Conference in Supraśl, 22-25 March 2017, prof. Zbigniew Kowalewski has been elected Chairman of Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (PTMTS) for the new XXXVIII cadence (2017-2018).

We are pleased to announce a monograph "DEVELOPMENT OF A HYBRID ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPE AND OPTICAL TWEEZERS APPARATUS" by Krzysztof Zembrzycki, Sylwia Pawłowska, Paweł Nakielski, Filippo Pierini (IPPT Reports 2/2016).

IPPT PAN and the Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials (the project coordinator) have started research work in the programme "Development of Road Innovations" - R&D . This work is supported by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Austostrad GDDKiA).

On December 8, 2016 prof. Tadeusz Burczyński, director of IPPT PAN, was awarded the honorary title of doctor honoris causa of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

On 01/12/2017 our Institute signed the first agreement of payable transfer of intellectual property rights to its employees.

Filippo Pierini from Department of Mechanics and Physics of Fluids (IPPT PAN), became winner of the LIDER competition. Project name: Design, construction and optimization of a combined Atomic Force Microscope and Optical Tweezers instrument for single molecules and nanomaterials characterization.

In December 2016 IPPT PAN was granted the right to use the prestigious Human Resources Excellence in Research logo.

In November 2016, National Science Centre (NCN) has approved and subsidized seven projects at IPPT PAN.
