Due to the decision of December 2th, 2016, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda granted the title of the professor to Mr Paweł Łukasz Sajkiewicz, Ph.D., D.Sc.
Prof. Paweł Łukasz Sajkiewicz is an expert in the field of polymer physics, structure and phase transitions of polymers, biopolymers, and tissue engineering with particular interest in biodegradable polymer scaffolds for regenerative medicine. Graduated from Faculty of Materials Science at Warsaw Technological University, PhD and habilitation obtained at IPPT (1989 and 2005, respectively), Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Tennessee, Materials Science and Engineering Department, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. Awarded for scientific and professional achievements by the Secretary of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Director of the IPPT PAN. Author of more than 60 scientific publications and 3 patents. Participant in more than 40 international and national conferences, invited lecturer in Japan, Italy, USA, and Poland.
The nomination was held at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, on January 11th 2017.
