Paweł Jarzębski has been awarded a scholarship by the DAAD for research project at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Mr. Jarzębski will conduct research at the Institute for Structural Analysis led by prof. Werner Wagner. The project to be financed by the DAAD is an extension of the currently ongoing doctoral studies carried out by Mr. Jarzębski with supervision of prof. Krzysztof Wiśniewski. The topic to be studied at KIT concerns parallel and distributed computing of large Finite Element models of composite shells.

The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - German Academic Exchange Service) is the world’s largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. Since it was founded in 1925, more than 1.9 million scholars in Germany and abroad have received DAAD funding. It is a registered association and its members are German institutions of higher education and student bodies. Its activities go far beyond simply awarding grants and scholarships. The DAAD supports the internationalisation of German universities, promotes German studies and the German language abroad, assists developing countries in establishing effective universities and advises decision makers on matters of cultural, education and development policy.

Congratulations to Paweł Jarzębski and all this year's scholarship recipients!
