On January 21, 2015, representatives of IPPT PAN visited the Automotive Industry Institute (PIMOT) in Warsaw. The director IPPT prof. Tadeusz Burczyński, assisted by the deputy director prof. Janusz Szczepański, profs. Michał Basista, Jan Holnicki-Szulc, Zbigniew Kowalewski and dr. Andrzej Siemaszko met the director of PIMOT dr Andrzej Muszyński and the deputy director dr. Krzysztof Bajdor.

As the main result of the meeting, the research cooperation agreement between the two Institutes was signed by the directors T. Burczyński and A. Muszyński. The desired effect of this agreement should be increase of efficiency in common research and development activities, as well as industrial implementation of their results, in the domain of material engineering applications in the transportation infrastructure.

The PIMOT mission is to provide Polish entrepreneurs (chiefly of the transport, fuels, and renewable energy sources sectors) with strong scientific and research support in the processes of product development and introduction of the products into world markets.
