On May 7, 2014, during the XIII Conference on Science and Technology in Computer Engineering Technology in Lichen, Professor Michał Kleiber and Professor Tadeusz Burczyński have been honoured with prestigious awards – Jan Szmelter Medals.
Professor Michał Kleiber has been awarded for the overall activity in the field of computer methods in engineering.
Professor Tadeusz Burczyński has been awarded for development of modern computational methods based on artificial intelligence and genetic algorithms.
In May, 2014, the Scientific Council of Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, awarded Professor Tadeusz Burczyński the Medal for merits in the scientific cooperation and support the development of academic staff.
