On May 12, 2017, the General Assembly of The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) has elected Professor the President General of ECCOMAS. This is a great honor to Prof. Kleiber, confirming his high international recognition and scientific position. This is also a high appreciation for the entire Polish scientific community of mechanics and informations, as well as for our Institute.



Prof. Michał Kleiber pursues research in theoretical and applied mechanics as well as information science and applied mathematics. The main subject of his research are applications of state-of-the-art computational techniques in different areas of scientific research, technology and medicine – particularly for modeling, analyzing, simulating and visualizing of complex non-linear thermo- mechanical phenomena.

In recent years, he has been actively involved in research and promotion of national innovation policies.

The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) was founded in 1993. ECCOMAS is a scientific organization grouping together European associations with interests in the development and applications of computational methods in science and technology.
