Olga Urbanek from the Polymer Physics Laboratory has been awarded a 3-month Kościuszko Foundation Grant. In the frame of the internship Ms. Urbanek will conduct research in the Natural Polymers and Photonics Group led by prof. Caroline Schauer of Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. The project to be financed by the Kościuszko Foundation is an extension of the currently ongoing Preludium Grant carried out by Ms. Urbanek since July 2015. The topic to be studied at the Drexel University concerns forming of nanofibres from natural polymers by electrospinning technique and their further surface modification. Thanks to the Kościuszko Foundation Grant Ms. Urbanek will have an opportunity to learn new advanced analytical techniques for materials surface analysis among scientists highly specialized in this topic.
